Experience The Ultimate Lowcountry Adventure
Join us for one of the most exciting and visually rewarding experiences in fly fishing—chasing tailing redfish during flood tides in the scenic marshes of Charleston and the South Carolina Lowcountry.

Each spring through fall, as the high tides push water deep into the grassy flats, redfish follow—eager to feed on fiddler crabs and other small prey. This seasonal phenomenon creates ideal conditions for sight fishing, where you’ll cast to visible tailing fish in just inches of water. Their distinctive tails breaking the surface as they forage is a sight no angler forgets. Whether you’re a seasoned fly fisher or looking to step up your angling game, flood tide fishing offers a unique challenge with rewarding results.
What Makes Flood Tide Fishing So Special?
Flood tides typically begin in early April and occur throughout the spring, summer, and fall. These high tides—especially those reaching 6.0 + feet in areas like Charleston flood the higher elevation Spartina grass flats, creating perfect habitat for redfish to hunt in the shallows for one of their true delicacies… Fiddler Crabs!

These are narrow seasonal windows that only happen a few handful of days each month, and become more frequent as we progress through summer into the fall. September and October are known for being two of the most productive months for flood tide fishing in the Lowcountry. However, plenty of excellent flood tide opportunities exist in the summer months as well! Every fishable tide can be a chance at something truly memorable. We plan our charters carefully to align with the best tides and conditions.

From the poling platform of a technical skiff or while wading quietly through the marsh you’ll pursue redfish in stunning, shallow flats—often amid complete solitude, coastal wildlife, and unforgettable sunsets. Don't miss out this season!
