Congrats to John on a successful first #redfish experience! Had tons of visual eats as he hooked up on a handful today. Good casting was rewarded on the mid to high tide cycles with some happy hungry ones! That bite window really faded into the low water later in the afternoon though!

Doug got his PB redfish at 30” on the @zmanfishingproducts slim swim paired with an @eyestrikefishing Texas eye finesse! Love this combo for the winter sight fishing game !

Chandler and Darren had to work for em’ today! Post frontal passage , they were laid up for the most part…. Must’ve still been full from turkey dinner 😄. The ones that did cooperate were quality at least. 👍🏻

Foggy mornings are for topwater!💪🏻 I love well rounded anglers who are willing to do what the conditions dictate. Ashlee and Will were out for fly fishing this day but heavy fog pretty much crushed our hopes of sight-fishing for the first two hours. Throwing plugs in these conditions can pay off handsomely and we had a lot of good action and aggressive eats waiting on the fog to break.!

A very exciting day for Derek! First redfish on fly, first saltwater fish on fly , first fish casted to and only third time ever Flyfishing!!

We should continue to find fish feeding in the flood -tide grass through early-mid November and the water clarity is already cleaning up drastically which has really improved the mid - low tide experience!

I have spent a better part of my life visiting destinations all over the areas in western NC and NE Tennessee and I don’t think I could have ever imagined this level of flooding and devastation to the area. This was truly an event of biblical scale which on many levels is something no one in this area could’ve prepared for nor imagined … The magnitude of the flood damage is something unprecedented and never experienced prior to this .

The outpouring of support to these areas from organizations and everyday individuals has been inspiring to say the least!

On Wednesday I ran truckloads of relief aid and supplies to the areas of Chimney Rock and Bat cave east of Hendersonville. I wish I had an unending supply of time and support to offer folks in all of the areas impacted. There is much to do and years of recovery ahead for some.

If you can do anything, even the smallest donation please give what you can to help aid these folks in recovery and rebuilding these areas so near and dear to all of us !
